Nothing contained within this document is intended
to establish an Employer/Employee relationship
between Retail Maxim and the Assignee /
Sub-Contractor for whom these T & C’s are provided.
It is clearly understood that the Assignee /
Sub-Contractor is responsible for the payment of
her/his own Income tax and National Insurance
Contributions.
ASSIGNMENTS
1. Initial contact will be by e-mail, text or
telephone. You will be offered an assignment, which
you may or may not accept. Details of location,
timing, fees and structure of expenses will always
be indicated prior to accepting the assignment
Following satisfactory completion of the work,
payment will be made within 30 days
2. For some assignments, the assignee is required to
purchase goods. For minor purchases, the re-imbursement
will be included in the fee OR, the
actual amount spent will be requested when the
report is submitted.
3 While all assignment documentation will be
provided by e-mail, you agree to provide your own
paper, printing, e-mail facilities and transport.
4. You agree to correct, at your own expense, any
assignment which is not satisfactory.
GENERAL
5. You will be personally liable for your own Tax
Deductions and all National Insurance contributions.
Retail Maxim may, on request, disclose any payments
made to you to the appropriate authorities.
6. This is not a Contract of Employment, and
therefore the Assignee / Sub-Contractor will not be
entitled to any holiday or sickness entitlement from
Retail Maxim.
7. You are not an employee of Retail Maxim and
beyond the terms of this Agreement there is no
obligation on the Company to offer you work or for
you to accept any offer of work from the Company.
You are not governed by the Company’s disciplinary
or grievance procedures.
8. Retail Maxim accepts no responsibility for
personal injuries, accidents, damage to vehicles or
for motoring offences and penalties incurred while
carrying out assignments.
9. You agree to take all reasonable steps to
safeguard your own health and safety and that of any
person who may be affected by your actions whilst
providing the services covered by the assignment.
You must remain aware of Health and Safety rules
applicable on the various locations you may work on
our behalf
10. Hours worked should be such that will enable you
to provide the services to the satisfaction of
Retail Maxim. This will not preclude you, however,
from providing services to any other organisation.
11. Retail Maxim reserves the right to terminate the
agreement if it is deemed that you have failed to
perform the agreed assignment to an acceptable
standard, or your behaviour is in any other way
unacceptable.
12. During the course of your assignments you may
come across, or have access to information which is
confidential to our business. This must not be
disclosed to any person, body or organisation.
13 Retail Maxim will not tolerate any form of
discrimination by its Assignees / Sub-Contractors
and this relates to race, sex, disability etc. Any
such discrimination by an Assignee / Sub-Contractor
will render the assignment subject to withdrawal.
